Best remembered while the father from the famous Marx Brothers comedy group, this French-born tailor appeared in his sons’ 1931 film, Monkey Business. While teaching dance lessons in NEW YORK, he fulfilled his potential wife, Miene Schönberg (Minnie Marx). His boy Groucho joked that he was an awful professional tailor, but a fantastic novice chef. Between 1885 and 1901, he and his wife became parents to six sons, the to begin whom died like a baby. His three oldest, making it through sons, Leonard, Adolph, and Julius, became known appropriately as Chico, Harpo, and Groucho Marx. His youngest boy, Herbert (Zeppo Marx), made an appearance along with his brothers in a number of early 1930s movies.
