Biography

American politician who served being a U.S. Senator from Tx from 1846 to 1859 and was the 7th Governor of Tx from 1859 to 1861. He was acknowledged with bringing Tx into the USA constituency. Before shifting to Tx, he served within the U.S. Home of Staff for Tennessee from 1823 to 1827 and was elected 6th Governor of Tennessee in 1827. He was taken off his post as governor when he refused to swear allegiance towards the Confederacy through the American Civil Battle. He wedded Eliza Allen in 1829, although they separated immediately after and he visited live with a Cherokee Tribe, where he fulfilled Tiana Rogers and wedded her. After Tiana’s loss of life, he was wedded to Margaret Moffette Lea. When he was imprisoned for assault, Francis Scott Essential offered as his attorney.
