Sacha Guitry

Biography

French professional, screenwriter, playwright, and director who appeared within the strikes El Beau mariage, Le Prise de Berg-op-Zoom, and La Pèlerine écossaise. He received the Legion of Honour Prize in 1931. He started executing on stage at age group five. He uncovered he had an all natural penchant for comedic performing. He was infamous for developing a tribute reserve to the leader from the Etat Français Vichy France, an Axis power during Globe Battle II. His dad was Lucien Guitry, a well-known professional. He was wedded five situations, to Charlotte Lyses, Yvonne Printemps, Jacqueline Delubac, Genvieve de Sereville and Lana Marconi. He once made an appearance within a comedy in regards to the fictitious travels of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during his stop by at Paris.

1Was one of the role models, along with Jules Berry, for the title character portrayed by Philippe Noiret in Le roi de Paris (1995).
2The first theatrical caricature Al Hirschfeld had published was of Guitry.

4A press photographer was taking a picture of him and asked him to be "natural and spontaneous." "My dear sir," Guitry answered, "WE are good enough actors to pose in a perfectly natural and spontaneous way!".

8On a day in 1918, while Paris was besieged by Germans, the first wife of Guitry, Charlotte Lysès, came home telling her husband she had gone to mass in the church of Saint-Gervais, but he knew that this church had been destroyed about two hours before by a shot of the Grosse Bertha, the gigantic German gun. That's why they divorced the same year.
