Ruth Simmons

Before becoming President of Dark brown College or university in 2001, this Africana Research and Comparative Books scholar served mainly because President of Smith University and held various teaching and administrative positions in the College or university of Southern California, Princeton College or university, and Spelman University. After graduating from Dillard College or university in Louisiana, she gained advanced levels in Romance Dialects and Books from Harvard College or university. While at Dark brown, she led a billion-dollar work referred to as Boldly Dark brown: The Marketing campaign for Academics Enrichment. She and her eleven old siblings was raised in Grapeland, Tx, as the kids of Fanny Campbell Stubblefield and Isaac Stubblefield. Her relationship to Norbert Alonzo Simmons led to children called Khari and Maya. In ’09 2009, she was appointed by USA Chief executive Barack Obama towards the President’s Percentage on White Home Fellowships.
