Ruth Benedict

American anthropologist who was simply among the 1st woman to certainly be a prominent leader of the discovered profession. She went to Vassar University before working like a graduate college student with Franz Boas at Columbia College or university. In her 1934 publication, Patterns of Tradition, she posited that there constantly existed a romantic relationship between personality, artwork, language and tradition. Many people think that she and Margaret Mead had been enthusiasts. Franz Boas, who’s considered the daddy of contemporary anthropology, was her instructor and mentor.
