Australian poet and author from the Jindyworobak movement and known for Tumult from the Swans, Vocabulary of the Fine sand, as well as other poetry collections. He was a receiver of both Patrick Light Award as well as the Purchase of Australia Medal. He proved helpful many manual labor careers, held a posture within the Australian Military, and also got a career being a ballet dancer. He was an excellent storyteller who gathered and documented the folklore of Aboriginal folks from every part of Australia. He shifted from Ireland to Australia at age nine. Between 1973 and 1978, he released three autobiographical functions. He was a modern of fellow Australian poet Judith Wright.
