Roger Troutman

American funk singer known for his usage of vocal synthesizers while fronting the 1980s band Zapp. He was an associate of several rings in the 1970s, including Parliament-Funkadelic as well as the Crusaders. He released four single albums between 1981 and 1991. He provides nine siblings, including his three brothers called Larry, Terry, and Lester who also performed in Zapp. His vocals are highlighted in Tupac Shakur’s tune, “California Appreciate.”
