Rod McKuen

Songwriter and poet most widely known for translating the strikes of French vocalist Jacques Brel into British. He wrote a lot more than 1500 music that spanned a lot more than 100 million record product sales. His formal education was short-lived, therefore to be able to stay up with those around him, he started keeping a journal. He resided in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA and performed his poetry in night clubs frequented by Allen Ginsberg, Jack port Kerouac, and various other beatnik poets. He composed music for performers as different as Johnny Money and Madonna. He was created in Oakland, California. He went abroad when he was simply eleven years of age to flee the mistreatment of his alcoholic stepfather. He also composed music for the fantastic Frank Sinatra.
