Rod Beck

Nicknamed “Shooter,” he was an All-Star relief pitcher known for his mustache, unkempt hair and damaging splitter. He went to Grant SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in California. He was drafted in the 13th circular in 1986 from the Oakland Athletics. He was created in Burbank, California. Left-handed beginner David Wells was his teammate around the NORTH PARK Padres.
