Portuguese explorer who mapped away Africa’s interior. He spent lots of time in both Mozambique and Angola, learning the countries’ property and folks. He became a member of the Portuguese Navy at age group twenty. Numerous institutions and streets in his indigenous Portugal were called in his honor. His grandfather, William Ivens, was honored a Layer of Hands by Ruler George III. He was one of the Portuguese explorers of Africa. His countryman Alexandre De Serpa Serpapinto explored Eastern Africa.
