Robert Strauss

Remembered top for his Oscar-nominated portrayal of Stanislas “Pet” Kuzawa in the 1953 battle movie Stalag 17, he’s also notable for his maniacal role in the Bob Wish comedy film Here Arrive the Girls, too for his function in the Marilyn Monroe movie The Seven Year Itch. In the first 1930s, he performed in Broadway productions from the Shakespeare takes on Macbeth as well as the Tempest. He performed the recurring part of Charlie Leach on the tv screen series Bewitched and portrayed Pa Wiggs in the 1930s cleaning soap opera Mrs. Wiggs from the Cabbage Patch. He was created and elevated in NEW YORK. After his relationship to Virginia Deeb finished in divorce in 1960, he was married to Audrey Bratty until his death in 1975. He appears as Romeo Scragg (a character enamored with Leslie Parrish’s character Daisy Mae) in the 1959 musical comedy film Li’l Abner.
