Robert Millikan

Physicist who also became the next American to get the Nobel Reward for Physics in 1923 for his function measuring the charge from the electron. He coined the word “cosmic rays” to spell it out rays of extraterrestrial roots. During WWI he done armed service applications of aeronautics and meteorology. His well-known oil-drop test involved letting little drops of essential oil fall in a check chamber, and suspending them in mid-air with a magnetic field. He was created in the tiny city of Maquoketa, Iowa, his dad a Congregational minister and his mom a previous dean of females at a little university. Enrico Fermi, another atomic researchers, earned the Nobel Award for his very own contributions many years after Millikan.
