Appreciated for his animation focus on such Warner Brothers cartoon creations as Bugs Bunny as well as the Looney Music, he also cartoon such 1950s brief motion pictures as Dime to Stop working and The Gap Idea. In the beginning of his profession, he spent 2 yrs using the Walt Disney studios. He often collaborated with fellow Warner Bros. animator Bob Clampett. His brothers, Tom and Charles McKimson, also proved helpful as animators. Early in his profession, he worked to get a short-lived California computer animation studio founded with the son of article writer Zane Grey.
