Robert Mangold

Minimalist musician who used basic elements and components to create organic works. A few of his result included “Gray Window Wall structure” from 1964 as well as the 12-canvas “Column Framework” series from 2006-07. He went to the Cleveland Institute of Artwork from 1956 until 1959 and Yale School that he graduated using a BFA in 1961 and an MFA in 1963. His initial prints were designed for Crown Stage Press in 1972. He wedded Sylvia Plimack in 1961. He was the daddy of movie director and screenwriter Adam Mangold. He was inspired by Hans Hofmann.
