Robert Lawson

An American children’s book writer and illustrator, he’s known for his fine art in such children’s classics as THE STORYPLOT of Ferdinand and Mr. Popper’s Penguins. He also illustrated several original functions, including Rabbit Hill and Ben and Me. He analyzed art for 3 years under illustrator Howard Giles at the brand new York College of Good and Applied Artwork. He was the 1st person to get both Caldecott Medal as well as the Newbery Medal. He was created in NEW YORK and elevated in NJ. In 1922, he wedded Mary Abrams. He published a publication about Christopher Columbus.
