Biography

Underground filmmaker known for composing and directing the movies Hugo Pool, Putney Swope, and Greaser’s Palace. He’s also the daddy of professional Robert Downey Jr. He aimed his first brief film, Balls Bluff, in 1961. In 2005, he released a documentary about lifestyle on the roads of Philadelphia known as Rittenhouse Square. He wedded Rosemary Rogers, his third wife, in 1998. He previously acquired two kids, Robert Jr. and Allyson, along with his initial wife Elsie Downey. His 1973 film Sticks and Bone fragments starred Tom Aldredge.
