Served as a co-employee justice from the U.S. Supreme Courtroom from 1846 to 1870. He graduated from Dickinson University in 1812. He was 1 of 2 Northerners that sided with almost all within the landmark Dred v. Scott case, which ruled that African Us citizens weren’t citizens and therefore couldn’t sue in federal government court. He wedded Isabelle Rose in 1829. The few had one young child jointly. He was nominated towards the Supreme Courtroom by President Adam K. Polk.
