Robert Bridges

British isles poet, author, hymn writer, and physician who served as UK Poet Laureate from 1913-1930. His functions consist of Eros and Psyche (poetry collection), The Christian Captives (verse play), and “O Gladsome Light” (hymn). He went to Eton University and Corpus Christi University (Oxford) before learning medication in London. He was the initial UK Poet Laureate to carry a medical level. His little girl, Elizabeth Daryush, was also a poet. His poems had been established to music by Gustav Holst and various other composers.
