Rigoberta Menchu


A Nobel Tranquility Prize-winning writer and activist, she worked to improve knowing of the struggling of Guatemalans through the 1960-1996 Civil Battle. Her published functions consist of I, Rigoberta Menchu and Crossing Edges. She was raised in an unhealthy indigenous family members in a little town near Un Quiche and went to Catholic boarding college. She afterwards became the leader of the pharmaceutical firm that supplied low-cost drugs. As well as the Nobel Tranquility Award, she received the esteemed Order from the Aztec Eagle. She was created in the north central Guatemalan community of Laj Chimel. Her dad, Vicente Menchu, was of K’iche’ descent. She received the Prince of Asturias Prize in 1998. Bob Dylan gained this same honor in 2007.
