Ricky Nolasco

Veteran right-handed beginning pitcher who also broke A.J. Burnett’s Marlins single-game strikeout record in ’09 2009 when he fanned 16 Nationals. He graduated in 2001 from Rialto SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in California and became a 4th round pick from the Chicago Cubs. In 2005, the Cubs exchanged him towards the Marlins in trade for Juan Pierre. He was raised playing baseball along with his old sibling Dave. Both had been drafted in 2001 and afterwards pitched against one another in a Springtime Training video game. In 2011, he transferred Dontrelle Willis to be the Marlins all-time head in strikeouts.
