Richard Llewellyn

Known for such novels-turned-Hollywood motion pictures as How Green Was My Valley and non-e but the Unhappy Heart, this acclaimed British author attained the 1940 Country wide Book Award for the previous work. In the years before World Battle II, he journeyed frequently and worked well in the coal mining and resort management sectors. His 1st literary function, Poison Pencil: A Play in Three Works, was released in 1939. After employed in the post-war years like a journalist confirming for the Nuremburg Tests, he started his career like a screenwriter for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Created to Welsh parents in Middlesex, Britain, Richard Dafydd Vivian Llewellyn Lloyd was wedded twice: 1st, to non-a Sonstenby (whom he divorced in the past due 1960s) and later on, to Susan Heimann. Maureen O’Hara, Roddy McDowall, Walter Pidgeon, and Anna Lee starred in the 1941 film version of his book How Green Was My Valley.
