Richard George Adams

British author who’s most widely known for his traditional 1972 novel Watership Straight down. The task, modeled on Virgil’s Aeneid, targets the epic trip of several anthropomorphised rabbits. He examined modern background at Worcester University, Oxford and offered in the United kingdom Army during Globe Battle II. He offered being a writer-in-residence at both Hollins School (Virginia) with the School of Florida. His book Watership Down was converted to an cartoon film in 1978. Along with his wife Elizabeth, he previously two daughters. His kids, Juliet and Rosamond, had been the youth recipients of some bedtime tales that became the foundation for Watership Down. He and Sharon Creech had been both recipients from the esteemed Carnegie Medal.
