Richard Ellmann

An American literary critic and biographer, he’s most widely known for his profiles of such renowned authors as James Joyce, William Butler Yeats, and Oscar Wilde. His 1959 biography of Wayne Joyce received the U.S. Country wide Book Honor for non-fiction. After graduating from Yale University or college and providing in the U.S. Navy during Globe Battle II, he analyzed books at Trinity University, Dublin. His background of William Butler Yeats became the definitive focus on the writer. He was created in Highland Recreation area, Michigan, to a Romanian immigrant dad and a Russian immigrant mom. Along with his wife, Mary, he previously two daughters and a child. He received the Pulitzer Reward for his biography from the renowned novelist and playwright, Oscar Wilde.
