Welsh professional best remembered for his function as Dai Bando in the Academy Award-winning 1941 film How Green Was My Valley. He afterwards made guest performances on tv series like Escapades of Superman and Perry Mason. He was created in Clydach, Glamorgan and started his career being a stage professional. He was originally employed onto How Green Was My Valley to instruct Welsh accents towards the film’s superstars but was ultimately given an performing function in the film by movie director John Ford.
