Rex Stout

An American mystery author, he’s most widely known for his a lot more than forty works featuring Detective Nero Wolfe and his assistant, Archie Goodwin. His additional works are the Tecumseh Fox mysteries and several short tales. He spent a couple of years employed in the Navy and was, for a while, in charge of the upkeep from the President’s personal yacht. In the 1910s, he started publishing his tales in pulp mags. He offered as President from the Secret Authors of America association. He wedded Fay Kennedy in 1916. In 1932, he wed his second wife, Pola Weinbach Hoffmann. He was continued monitoring by J. Edgar Hoover because he was a suspected communist sympathizer.
