Reinhold Niebuhr

Theologian and writer of Serenity Prayer who greatly influenced both politics idea and Protestantism in the us. He was ordained a pastor in 1915, overtaking a small cathedral in Detroit and developing it from 46 to over 700 associates during the period of ten years. Charting his very own philosophical training course, he contradicted both liberals within their sights on the Public Gospel and spiritual conservatives within their sights on biblical realism. His wife Ursula Niebuhr founded the Section of Religious beliefs at Barnard University.
