RC Gorman

Navajo painter whose best-known works included portraits of solid Local American women and “Natoma,” a patinated bronze sculpture. He was known as the Picasso of American Indian artwork by the brand new York Moments. His 1958 visit to Mexico motivated him to be an musician, and he shifted to SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA to begin with his profession. He marketed his artwork to Elizabeth Taylor, Gregory Peck, and various other celebrities. He was created on the Navajo booking near Arizona’s Canyon de Chelly to painter an instructor Carl Gorman. His personal artwork collection included functions by Henri Matisse and Marc Chagall.
