Pyotr Kozlov

Russian explorer of Mongolia, Tibet, as well as the Gobi Desert. In the first 1900s, he uncovered the dropped Tangut town of Khara-Khoto. His parents desired him to enter the armed service, but he rather began touring with explorer Nikolai Przhevalsky. His finding of Khara-Khoto’s ruins yielded a huge selection of books. He wedded Elizabeth V. Kozlova, who followed him on his last expedition and released a lot of his documents. He met using the Dalai Lama during his moves through Tibet.
