The 3rd child born to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, she was the to begin her siblings to expire, having contracted diptheria. Aside from her royal responsibilities, she formed a business known as the Princess Alice Women’s Guild that offered medical help to troops wounded in the Austro-Prussian Battle. She was raised with old siblings called Victoria and Albert and with more youthful siblings called Alfred, Helena, Louise, Arthur, Leopold, and Beatrice. Another of Alice’s kids, Elisabeth (the wife of Russia’s Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich), was murdered due to the same politics scenario. Her great-grandson Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh became the spouse of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.
