Philip Oakey

British singer and producer most widely known as the frontman and co-founder from the intentionally-successful synthpop act The Individual League. Using the group, he provides sold a lot more than 20 million albums worldwide, like the triple-platinum 1981 record Dare. He slipped out of college at 18 and proved helpful a number of unusual jobs, including being a porter at Thornbury Annex Medical center in Sheffield. He produced the band THE NEAR FUTURE in 1977. His biggest strike, 1981’s “NOT Appreciate Me,” is certainly notable to be the initial chart-topping one to feature the Linn LM-1 drum machine, which afterwards became popular among lots of the decade’s most well-known artists. He once was wedded but got divorced in 1980. He caused famous Italian record manufacturer Giorgio Moroder in the 1985 collaborative record Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder.
