Peter Taylor

An American writer of brief tales and novels, he’s best known for the Summons to Memphis. He was the 1987 receiver of the Pulitzer Award for Fiction. He examined at Rhodes University and Vanderbilt School. His collection, The Aged Forest and Various other Stories, gained the Pencil/Faulkner Prize. He was wedded for fifty-one years to poet Eleanor Ross Taylor. He was friends with Robert Penn Warren.
