Peter Behrens


In charge of German Modernism, he influenced architectural reform around the beginning of the twentieth century. Helped discovered the German Werkbund group, which continued the traditions from the Arts and Crafts motion in today’s setting up. He was students on the Christianeum Hamburg from 1877 until 1882. He was after that trained being a painter in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Karlsruhe from 1886 until 1889. He proved helpful as an illustrator, painter, and bookbinder pursuing his relationship. He designed many workplace structures and factories using brick, steal, and cup. He wedded Lilly Kramer in 1890, and he relocated to Munich, where he was subjected to Bohemian lifestyle. He trained and inspired such notables as Le Corbusier, Ludwig Mies truck der Rohe, and Walter Gropius.
