Nicknamed Nice Pea, he received the precious metal medal like a light-weight boxer in the 1984 Olympic game titles in LA. He previously a rivalry with Angel Herrera Vera. In 2006, he was induced in to the International Boxing Hall of Popularity. Had four kids along with his ex-wife Rovanda. In an excellent boxing match, he dropped to Oscar De La Hoya on Apr 12, 1997.
