Known most effective for his work through the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s using the Uk jazz-rock group Brand X, Jones also performed bass for a fresh York band known as Tunnels and documented a solo album entitled Cape Catastrophe. Early in his profession, he performed with poet Adrian Henri’s music group The Liverpool Picture. Later, he became a member of a Canterbury-based fusion music group known as Soft Machine. He famously performed on the fretless digital bass from the Wal brand. A indigenous of Llandrindod Wells, Wales, he afterwards lived in Britain and america. He and drummer and vocalist Phil Collins had been both associates of Brand X.
