Third daughter of Continental Military General Philip Schuyler who became the sister-in-law of John Barker Church and Alexander Hamilton. Her mom, Catherine Truck Rensselaer Schuyler, supplied her with an education and trained in local abilities. She and Alexander Hamilton got a totally platonic romantic relationship after she started composing to him in 1780. She was among eight siblings who resided into adulthood, including Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton and Angelica Schuyler Cathedral. She was portrayed by Jasmine Cephas Jones in the Tony Award-winning play Hamilton.
