Paul Pelliot

French orientalist who contributed to the analysis of Central Asian dialects and civilizations. He traveled to Beijing in 1900, just like the boxer rebellion was beginning, forcing him to remain and wait around it out. He cut back many historic text messages from Asia, which helped scholars discover more about the dropped civilizations from where they emerged. He was raised in Paris, France. Matteo Ricci, the Jesuit missionary who been to China, also helped to bridge Eastern and Traditional western cultures.
