Paul Krugman


New York Moments op-ed columnist and liberal financial professional who advised Leader Reagan. In 1974, he graduated from Yale College or university with an economics level. He continues to be called perhaps one of the most important educational thinkers in the country. His second wife can be Robin Wells. He was Ronald Reagan’s key economic consultant during his presidency.

1 Earned his B.A. in economics from Yale University in 1974 and his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1977. From 1982 to 1983, he spent a year working at the Reagan White House as a staff member of the Council of Economic Advisers. Taught at Yale Universty, MIT, UC Berkeley, the London School of Economics and Stanford University before joining the faculty of Princeton University in 2000.
2 Born into a Jewish family and grew up on Long Island in New York. Married to Robin Wells, a fellow professor at Princeton, his second wife. They have no children.
3 In 2008, won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
4 Professor of economics and international affairs at Princeton University, a centenary professor at the London School of Economics and an op-ed columnist for the New York Times.

1 [observation, 1998] The growth of the Internet will slow dramatically [as it] becomes apparent that most people have nothing to say to each other. By 2005 or so, it will become clear that the Internet's impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine's... Ten years from now the phrase information economy will sound silly.
