Paddy Chayefsky

Probably one of the most acclaimed screenwriters from television’s ‘golden age group’ as well as the just screenwriter to have obtained 3 Oscars for Best Screenplay without assistance from a co-writer. His early shows for the tv screen shows Risk and Manhunt got him a composing work with NBC. His 1st Oscar was achieved in 1955, after his screenplay for 1955’s Marty was acknowledged. He was raised in Bronx, NY, to Ukrainian Jewish parents. He published the iconic 1975 film, Network, by using his friend and fellow movie director Sidney Lumet.
