Ozzie Nelson

Biography

He became referred to as the hubby of Harriet Nelson within the Ventures of Ozzie and Harriet, a radio and tv series. Whilst in college, he produced a full time income by playing saxophone and training soccer; he funded his music group by collecting leading pages of papers and returning these to the paper offices as unsold. In 1935, Ozzie Nelson and His Orchestra released “AND Some,” which became a #1 strike for just one week in the U.S. pop singles graph. He wedded vocalist Harriet Hilliard in 1935 plus they got a son called David in 1936 and a different one called Eric “Ricky” in 1940. His boy Ricky Nelson made an appearance in the sitcom with him, and afterwards went on to become famous vocalist and actor.
