Czech chemist who invented the 1st practical soft lens. He produced the polymer that could get into his lens, but he shelved it immediately after, coming back only once he began to work on contacts. He offered the privileges to his trademarked lens towards the American organization Bausch & Lomb for $330,000, but because he worked well for the condition, he just received $330 from your sale. His dad went a machine manufacturing plant. He and musician Bedrich Smetana had been both popular Czechs.
