Swiss-American structural engineer who designed the George Washington Bridge, Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, and Bayonne Bridge. He emigrated to america from Switzerland in 1904. He was among the initial recipients from the Country wide Medal of Research for Behavioral and Public Science. He previously three children along with his initial, wife Lilly Selma Wehrli, who he wedded in 1905. His most well-known bridge was called after America’s initial Leader, George Washington.
