Prominent musician who spent 2 yrs operating as pianist, arranger, and periodic composer for Woody Shaw’s band. He was released to guitarist Kenny Burrell in 1971 and offered Burrell his demonstration tape. He received a contact the very next day to try out with Burrell at Detroit’s Baker’s Key pad Lounge. He offered as sideman on many albums, including Avery Sharpe’s recording Sojourner Truth: Ain’t I a female from 2012. His family members elevated him in St. Albans, Queens, nurturing his musical skill on the way. He started acquiring piano lessons when he was seven. He was affected early on from the music of Henry Mancini, specifically after viewing Peter Gunn and Mr. Lucky on Television that Mancini composed.
