Biography
Writer whose famous, witty brief stories frequently have shock endings. His best-known functions include The Present from the Magi, The Ransom of Crimson Chief, as well as the Cop as well as the Anthem. He proved helpful in his uncle’s drugstore, with age group nineteen became an authorized pharmacist. He eventually moved to Tx, where he participated in music and movie theater groupings and was utilized being a journalist. His tale, The Gift from the Magi, continues to be reworked and retold often. He was created William Sidney Porter in Greensboro, NEW YORK. His wife, Sarah, divorced him in 1909, and he passed away of liver organ cirrhosis the next calendar year. The couple’s little girl, Margaret, passed on in 1927. Marilyn Monroe starred in the 1952 film, O. Henry’s Total House, a creation predicated on five of O. Henry’s tales.
