Norman Whitfield

Writer and manufacturer of Motown classics want “Battle” and “We Heard It all Through the Grapevine.” He helped make the Motown audio. He shifted to Detroit in his past due teenagers and petitioned the burgeoning Motown label to provide him employment. He was inducted in to the Songwriters Hall of Popularity in 2004. He fathered four sons and one girl. He had written and produced tracks for several renowned performers, including Marvin Gaye as well as the Temptations.
