Norman Rose


Tone of voice of Juan Valdez in the favorite series of espresso commercials who also also narrated translations of foreign takes on, ballet shows, and books for the blind. He started his acting profession on stage while their studies at George Washington University or college, and after shifting to NY, he made an appearance on Broadway and on the air. He narrated George Balanchine’s 1977 Nutcracker ballet, while also showing up in the cleaning soap operas, One Existence to Live and everything My Children. He previously three daughters and a child along with his wife of 60 years, Catherine. Among it dramas he narrated was Ray Bradbury’s The Martian Chronicles.

1Norman was the son of Lillian (Darev) and John Rose. He was of German Jewish and Russian Jewish descent.
2He co-founded the off-Broadway repertory company New Stages with producer David Heilweil in 1947.

4Was the voice for Juan Valdez for over ten years in the Colombian coffee commercials. He promised "only the ripest of beans".
