Norman Kwong

After playing for both Calgary Stampeders as well as the Edmonton Eskimos professional football teams, Kwong pursued a profession in politics. From 2005 until 2010, he offered as Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. Before getting drafted towards the Calgary Stampeders in 1948, he performed soccer at Traditional western Canada SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. During the period of his profession as a soccer fullback, he obtained over ninety touchdowns and received numerous athletic honours, like the Eddie Wayne Memorial Trophy as well as the Canadian Sportsman of the entire year reward. A first-generation Chinese-Canadian, he was raised in Calgary, Alberta, and later on wedded Mary Kwong. He and American athlete Roman Gabriel both produced soccer background: Gabriel was the 1st Asian-American NFL quarterback, and Kwong was the 1st Chinese-Canadian professional soccer player.
