Norman Bel Geddes

Inspired from the aerodynamics of planes, he used the same principles to boats, cars, and industrial set ups. He was a theatre set developer and worked well in LA and with the Metropolitan Opera in NY. He designed home consumer stuff like the streamlined Emerson Patriot radio or the Soda pop King seltzer container, but his most well-known are the GM Pavilion was in the 1939 World’s Good. His girl Barbara Bel Geddes became a well-known film and Broadway celebrity who performed Ellie Ewing on Dallas. Buckminster Fuller, a modern of his, was another visionary developer. In fact, a few of their designs had been quite similar.
