Primarily referred to as a jazz artist, yet also skilled at Swedish folk music and classical music. He was students at Stockholm’s Royal University of Music, where he was trained classical structure by respected instructors Lars-Erik Larsson and Karl-Birger Blomdahl. He received the 1990 Jussi Björling scholarship or grant as well as the 2006 Litteris et Artibus medal. He was created into a category of musicians surviving in Gagnef, Dalecarlia. His uncle was Intimate composer Oskar Lindberg. He collaborated with Duke Ellington, but dropped Ellington’s offer to be on the road.
