Known for his advocacy of Chopin. He ultimately performed and documented the composer’s full piano functions. He was well known by Ravel. His family members resided in Finland for a while where he researched with Alexander Siloti. Then went to the Paris Conservatory beneath the tutelage of Isidor Philipp. His playing became much less sophisticated and elegant down the road and much more experimental and complicated. He wedded Irene, violinist Joseph Szigeti’s girl. He frequently toured with Szigeti ahead of World Battle II. He was prompted to go after music like a career by family members friend Sergei Prokofiev.
