Nella Larsen

An American novelist of Danish and African descent, she was a figure in the Harlem Renaissance. In the 1920s, she released two books: Quicksand (1928) and Passing (1929). The second option work is definitely noteworthy because of its ahead-of-its period study of the grey area of intimate and racial identification. Pursuing her graduation from medical college in 1915, she became a nurse in the Tuskegee Institute in Alabama. She later on worked in NEW YORK like a librarian. She briefly went to Fisk College or university in Tennessee. She wedded physicist Elmer Imes in 1919. The few divorced in 1933. She was a pal of article writer and professional photographer Carl Vehicle Vechten.
